3M Bonding and Assembly Redesign

The need for re-design and more innovative thought was what we brought to the table for the solutioning of this project. Collaboration across all roles in our Agile group was what allowed us to be creative, innovative and successful in this work, and provide to the stakeholder in the end what they asked for

Goal

Our Goal as an agile team was to bring the Bonding and assembly experience back to life for our users. the business and it’s stakeholder had seen a decline in user interaction and we needed to turn around how we served up the bonding and assembly content to educate, initiate and sustain users.

Approach

By participating in initial strategic analysis session with the business stakeholders, we were able to better understand what journeys users were taking, where they were feeling blocked and content that wasn’t making much sense.  Taking this information we worked in our Agile DOJO to continue to gather qualitative insights allowing us to better identify what content we wanted to serve up.

Results

We saw a massive turnaround in user growth across the experience based on KPIs and with the assistance in a more interactive solution we found that users found more value in coming to the Bonding and assembly experience.

Chemistry interactive imagery was in partnership with the BBDO. Guidance on design concept and color usage to adhere to the IATD Line of business was from me as the lead UX designer.
