RSM Digital Brand Style Guide

Currently RSM is in a place where they are still dependent on a variety of third party development tools. Because of this we needed documented understanding of the RSM brand that catered to the digital applications we are continuing to create. From this notion the efforts to build a documented digital brand style get began.

Goal

To create documentation that establishes clear parameters and rules, enabling better consistency across multiple vendors and development tools while aligning with the brand’s needs. This style guide serves as a foundational step toward scaling and strengthening design at RSM.

Approach

To lay the foundation for this work, I first connected with key marketing resources to understand existing brand rules and digital constraints. This helped establish a baseline for elements like color and typography, which then served as a launchpad for broader standards, including responsive breakpoints and documented iconography. As our digital design system evolves, these guidelines will continue to grow, ensuring consistency and scalability at RSM.

Results

I received feedback of both praise and gratefulness from management, marketing staff here in the US, as well as our global team for my effort in creating this centralized documentation. We have also seen great consistnecies and understanding from our IT and business teams on what our visual and branded expectations are as we continue to navigate our digital landscape in creating applications and experiences.
